The Writing Process

Prewriting: This is the step for gathering ideas based on the prompt. Consider the audience and purpose for writing during brainstorming. Drafting: This step is for putting ideas down on paper and exploring new ideas as the paper is being written.

Revising: This step includes consulting with peer readers, evaluating the paper and suggested changes, and making revisions.

Proofreading: This is where correcting errors in spelling, usage, grammar, and mechanics happens.

Publishing: This is when the final paper is shared among peers.
