Sana Rafaqat Film Studies As Screen Test with Notes For my As Level Film Studies portfolio I am told to create a creative artifact, this is following a textual analysis that I have done which is regarding two films that I analyzed. Those two films are Skyfall (2012) and Avengers Assemble (2012). Both of these films are Action movies, and they both released on the same year. In these two movies I was told to analyze the representation of the protagonist in both of the movies. Developing that portfolio I am going to create a creative artifact which is f a screen Test. I intend to make a creative artifact of a script and 9 key frames of the scene. The theme of the two films is conflict. In both of the films Skyfall and Avengers there are several scenes which incorporate the protagonists in the film. These scenes are when the Protagonist is working together to end the evil in the movie. After getting all the ideas together I then had to make a script for the small sequence of a 2 minutes film. The scene that I am creating is a chase scene where there will be less dialogues and more movements in the scene. To do my screen test I think the part where the two protagonists split up so that they can catch the antagonist when he is not looking. This scene will give me the chance of testing each character individually so that I can talk about the character. This is a good part of the scene for me to carry out the screen test. As the director of the scene, I will be able to show the viewers the emotions that the three characters are going through at the stage, that is anger or disgust. The protagonist will be disgusted towards the antagonist, as he has committed a crime, which they are trying to capture him for. I have selected all of my actors that will be in my scene to be screen tested, as I want to see how they would cope with the acting. As I am creating a chase scene, this will not include too much dialogue but the expressions need to be perfect so that the audience are able to understand how the character are feeling at that particular time. Soliloquy: HARRY (26) coming down the alleyway minding his own business, sticking his hands in his pockets as the weather is cold and he is not wearing a cold. HARRYS face low as he has come back from a night shift. He is walking through the alleyway as it leads onto his hose at the end of the bridge. HARRY turns right does not where he time show that he to ask but thinks as he sees a man he things that he recognizes but has seen him before. HARRYs expressions at that is thinking where he has seen this person, he wants it will be rude.

Sana Rafaqat Film Studies As VICTOR keeps running as much as he can and as fast as he can. When he is running VICTOR trips over, but then quickly gets up, in this space of time HARRY gets hold of VICTOR and punches him on his face. HARRY keeps punching VICTOR in the stomach, and then VICTOR gives HARRY some hard punches on his face and chest. HARRY pushes VICTOR on the ground and hits him on the floor. Screen Test notes on Harry- Actor 1 The way that I interviewed this actor was by giving him some lines, this is because I want to see if he can act and say the lines with good emotion. That was the purpose of this interview with this actor. The reason that I gave lines to this actor was because I thought that he would go well with another character. But, because I was doing a screen test on Harrys character. While the actor was doing his lines I could see it by his expressions that he was not comfortable to say the lines. He looked nervous and scared. When he was reading his lines he was also stammering, as he would say one word more than three times, which was not asked for. It was like he was reading the lines but not acting it out as this was a screen test for a characters role. Although I know that the character that he is screen testing for does not have any lines, but the character is confident in what he doing. That is what I wanted to see in this actor, which I got from the previous screen test with actor one. That actor had been given no lines but whatever he was told to do he done it with confidence, which is necessary for, the role you want. Screen Test notes on Harry- Actor 2 The Actor 2 that I done my screen test on was very good and the lines that I gave him, he gave me good expressions from. Compared to the previous actor this actor read the lines out properly and did not stammer in between the lines. This character that they are playing is not a shy character he is outspoken and is confident in what he is doing. However the actors that is playing this character is not that outspoken in real life but when it comes to the reel life they need to get into the character as to what they are playing. They need to be confident in what they are doing, never have a thought in their mind. This actor has a strong screen presence, which will help him through the performance that he will need to do. As he wants to be one of the main leads of my movie. To show that he needs to get in grips with the character that he wants to play.
