For a dent that cannot be accessed %rom the bac side! )ason uses a st ud welder$ 1%ter scu%%ing away the surrounding paint! he uses this power tool to quic -weld brass studs directly to the sur%ace metal$ =n this particular instance! the dent is rather large! so )ason welds se#eral studs spaced at about 1 -B inches apart$ The n! with a slide hammer! he pulls each stud until the dent returns to the desired contour$ (e clips the studs at the base with wire cutters and grinds o%% the remaining metal with a disc grinder$ (e also %inishes this repair with body %iller and sanding$

Then! )ason repairs a panel on the side o% the )eep where the metal has been stretched$ This stretching causes the panel to pop in and out! much li e the base o% an old -%ashioned oilcan$ )ason scu%%s paint %rom the panel and e&poses the sheet metal beneath $ Then! with an o&yacetylene torch! he directly heats a quarter -si+ed area o% the metal until it becomes red hot$ Then! he lightly taps the center o% the red -hot area with a pic -ended hammer and immediately sponges cool water o#er the spot$ This causes th e metal to shrin quic ly$ )ason repeats this process in se#eral nearby areas on the panel until it returns to its original shape$ @ow that all the body damage is repaired! )ason can begin the re%inishing process$ =n the ne&t segment! he applies primer! basecoat and clear coat to %inish his pro7ect$ '$ambil

(as!n s"u%%s "at dari panel dan memperlihatkan lembaran l!gam di ba-ahn&a . .emudian , dengan !b!r asetilin , ia langsung memanaskan area berukuran kuartal l!gam sampai men,adi panas merah . .emudian , ia ringan keran tengah area merah-panas dengan palu pi"k- ended dan segera sp!ns air dingin di atas tempat. /al ini men&ebabkan l!gam e th men&usut "epat . (as!n mengulangi pr!ses ini di beberapa daerah terdekat di panel sampai kembali ke bentuk aslin&a . $ekarang semua kerusakan tubuh diperbaiki , (as!n dapat memulai pr!ses %inishing .
