CommunicAID was founded in 1994 by a group of citizens concerned about the rising number of homeless in New York and the lack of services to assist them. Today the nonprofit umbrella organization serves the needy in the Midtown and Upper West Side enclaves of Manhattan. Our employees work with homeless shelters and soup kitchens across the New York area to help our clients get back on their feet. Over 10 years, with the help of New York residents, our employees, volunteers and legislators, we expect to erase 45 percent of homelessness and hunger in New York City.
