Obedience Brings Success

January 12- January 18, 2014

Review the central truth, the memory verse, prayer and confessions, and read the Bible story with your child each day. As this is done, let your child color in or put a sticker on the power outlet located on the back of the devotional. At the end of the week please sign as proof of completion and return to the teacher. Children who complete 3 weeks Power Cords in a month will have their picture posted in the foyer of Power Source.

When we obey, it brings success.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord. . . Ephesians 6:1

Father God, I worship You with all my heart. I want to know You by reading Your Word, listening to You, going to church, and being willing to forgive others. Thank You for good teachers and help me to choose good friends. Help me to obey my parents so things will go well with me and I will live a long life on the earth. Help me to look for ways to bless others. Thank you that because of Jesus, I am healed and whole. In Jesus Name, Amen

About 5,000 people had come to hear Jesus teach. After listening to Him all day, they were getting hungry. The disciples said they didnt have enough money to buy food for that many. A little boy with five loaves of bread and two fish offered his lunch to Jesus. Jesus blessed and broke it into pieces. The disciples passed it out. It was enough to feed everyone, with 12 baskets of food left over! John 6:1-14
Psalm 8:1, O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth.
