Berlin Wall Descriptive Paragraph The Berlin Wall was created a long time ago, when Germany was

awarded to the Soviet Union, France, USA, and the United Kingdom. However, France, US, and UK did not want their parts, so they gave it back to Germans, but the Soviets kept their part, causing a wall to go up dividing the two parts. I have been studying Germany in my Global Studies class and saw a black and white photo of the Berlin Wall. The wall is at a slight angle in this picture. On the west side, many sad, solemn faces appear on the dark haired people standing there. with all the people. Barbed wire rims the strong, wide, wall with its crumbling bricks and plaster. There are buildings surrounding each side, some in the very front where the guard is facing, and some in the distance. There are many buildings behind the guard and the buildings are old and crumbling, and they look like old city buildings. They also have broken glass and are mostly made out of bricks. The people on the west side are in a position in the photo so you cannot see what is behind them, but you can see the buildings to the left of them. No one in

this photo looks happy, in fact, they all look angry and upset. This photo made me wonder what is really going on above that we cannot.
