How to Create a Pivot Table
1. Click on the Cells within your data source,
2. Then choose from the ribbon, Insert > Pivot Table.
3. This displays the Create Pivot Table Dialog Box, which
prompts you to ???? Options in four steps:
a. Specify the data source on which you want to create the
pivot table and whether you want the Pivot Table or the
Pivot Chart.
b. Specify the location of your data source
c. Specify, where you want the Pivot Table to appear.
d. Click OK to Continue.
4. Then you will see, two new tabs coming under the Pivot
Table Tools to make a selection of the Pivot Table Fields
and field Area.
Exercise….
Create a Pivot table for the sales report of a
retails chain having outlets in different
countries. You are free to choose the Pivot
Table Fields, However the data has the
following fields and at least 50 records.
| Country
| City ID
| Outlet ID.
| Sales Person Name
| Order Amount
