Matthew Shepard Foundation internships in Denver

The Matthew Shepard Foundations Denver office is currently accepting applications for our internship program. We are seeking a passionate and hard-working high school or college student who is interested in our work within the LGBTQ community to replace hate with understanding, compassion and acceptance. The unpaid intern will receive course credit. This intern will help our staff with the wide variety of programs and resources the Foundation offers. The successful applicant will work on a variety of diverse projects, including on our LGBTQ youth website (MatthewsPlace.com), foundation newsletters, social media, and helping bolster our overall online presence. Applicants should have a demonstrated knowledge and/or interest in social justice issues. The successful applicant must be open to learning, be a team player, and able to work independently in a fastpaced, dynamic work environment. Superior written and verbal communication skills are required. The intern will assist staff in the day-to-day operations and will have the opportunity to spearhead special tasks.
