ALGEBRA 1A Syllabus

Miss Blue & Ms. Krawczonek Woodridge High School Spring 2014 Supplies (items students are to bring to class everyday):
Pens/pencils, workbook, notebook, and calculator.

Classroom Expectations:
Be respectful to your peers, teachers, and school property Come to class on time and have all supplies with you. Tardies will be given. Students will sit in their assigned seats unless instructed otherwise Cell phone use will not be permitted Drinks & snacks are permitted in class as long as you are not disrupting your classmates Students only may leave the class with permission and will be issued a pass Foul language, disrespect to peers or teachers, and sleeping will not be tolerated Be honest. Cheating/ copying/ and plagiarism will not receive credit

Grading:
There will be many opportunities for students to be successful in this class. If you put in as much effort as possible, I believe you will not receive a bad grade. Tests Quizzes Homework/ Projects Participation

Tests: There will be a test at the end of each chapter. Any student that misses a test will have 2 school days to make it up. 10% will be deducted each day after that. Exceptions will be made for extreme circumstances. Quizzes: There will be at least one quiz for each chapter. Students will be informed at least 1 day prior to the quiz. Quiz and test makeup policy is the same. Homework: Unless specified in class, homework will be due the day after it is assigned. Homework may be graded for completeness and it also may be collected and graded for correctness. 10% will be deducted each day the assignment is late.

Absences: If you are absent it is your responsibility to find out what we did while you
were gone. Class notes can be gathered from a peer. You will have one day per day absent to make up missed work.

Extra Help: I am available before and after school on various days for math help.
