RECRUITMENT TO 04 POSTS OF ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (BS-17) ON CONTRACT BASIS FOR THE PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS IN THE DIRECTORATE OF WOMEN DEVELOPMENT PUNJAB, WOMEN DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT, PUNJAB, LAHORE. JOB DESCRIPTION/JOB ANALYSIS Normal hours of work (including field work etc, if applicable) Main Responsibilities and tasks. A. To perform any duty which may be assigned by Government.

1. Review of women rights situation in the province of Punjab including implementation of policies and laws. 2. Coordination for formulation of policies and legal documents. 3. Building of synergies with line departments to make sectorial policies and laws gender awareness and sensitization. 4. Provision of technical support and training to line departments on gender and development. 5. Preparation of research proposals and implementation of research projects to feed in gender disaggregated and specific data into policies and plans of government. 6. Coordination with NGOs working on women empowerment and safeguarding women rights to take their opinion to direct/facilitate policy decisions. 7. Preparation of Annual Gender Parity Report. 8. Preparation of Annual Development Plan in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government beneficial for women. 9. Preparation of project documents for external capital assistance. 10. Monitoring and evaluation of development of schemes and utilization of ADP funds in coordination with P&D and C&W Departments. 11. Development and implementation of strategies for communication and outreach and dissemination of advocacy and publicity material maintenance of regular contact with media and designing of awareness campaigns for print and electronic media. 12. Supervision and up gradation of website of Women Development Department. 13. Organization and reporting of discussions, press conferences, briefing sessions, seminars, workshop for policy dialogue. 14. Management financial functions as per value and maintenance of appropriate control to ensure that utilization is within budgetary allocation. 15. Internal and external audit and reporting. 16. Effect purchases in term of Punjab Procurement Rules 2009. 17. Ensuring efficient provision of office services, up keeping of office and equipment and provision of official goods. 18. Responsibilities for recruitment, maintenance of personal files , leave accounts ACRs and service related matters of the officers and staff,
