CLEMENTS GERMAN STUDENTS TAKE SWEEPSTAKES AT HOUSTONFEST

For the sixth time in seven years, students from Clements High School took first place in the large-school division of sweepstakes competition at Housto fest, the Houston-area German contest. Held on Saturday, Fe ruary !, "#!$, the competition attracted a out %## participants from "! schools this year. Seventy-five Clements students attended the event or sent artwork to e &udged, and the team won '$ individual and group awards, enough to edge out archrival (ingwood High School )%'-)$* for the sweepstakes trophy. +he students who placed in the top five in any event are now eligi le to compete at the Te!as State Ger"a Co test on Fe ruary "" at the ,niversity of +exas at -ustin.
