Onion Dip Recipe

Rich creamy caramelized onion dip.

Ingredients:

2 strips thick cut bacon, chopped 2 large onions, peeled, quartered, and sliced thin 1 Tb. fresh thyme leaves 1 tsp. salt 2-3 dashes cayenne pepper 8 oz. cream cheese 1 cup sour cream 2 Tb. Worcestershire sauce 1 Tb. honey

Directions:
1. In a large skillet, saute the bacon over medium heat, until crispy. Remove the bacon and lower the heat to medium-low. 2. Add the onions, thyme, salt and cayenne to the skillet and saute for 10-12 minutes, until dark, but not burnt. Stir occasionally. 3. Once dark, remove the onions from the heat to cool. Place the cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, and honey in a food processor. Puree until smooth. 4. Mix the onions into the cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle with the reserved bacon pieces and serve with chips or cut veggies.
