Open Position: Technician Bridge12 is a privately-held startup company focusing on the development of cutting-edge, high-power microwave and terahertz sources and systems for use in scientific research such as magnetic resonance spectroscopy, communication systems and industrial applications. The company has a worldwide customer base and conducts groundbreaking research on applications of microwaves and terahertz in novel fields and has been successful in launching several innovative products based on Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants from several federal agencies. Bridge12 is in the progress of expanding its team and has currently an opening for a Technician. Job Description As a Technician at Bridge12, your work will be multidisciplinary involving all aspects of mechanical design, assembling of prototypes, including quality control and testing of the final instruments. You will be working under the guidance of a Bridge12 scientist. In this specific role your tasks include: Mechanical design using state-of-the-art 3D CAD software Preparation of engineering drawings Work on the product assembly and testing Maintenance of laboratory equipment Documentation of design process Requesting quotes for manufacturing and negotiate pricing with suppliers Preparing manufacturing cost estimates for parts and subassemblies

Required Skills Excellent proficiency in engineering drawing (2D and 3D) Experience in manufacturing methods, procedures and preparation Basic knowledge of electrical test equipment Experience with vacuum systems Excellent working organization and scheduling Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good team work ethics General interest and curiosity in the development of cutting-edge THz technology PCB design and prototyping (optional)

Experience: 2-4 years of experience in similar or related fields and/or post-secondary technical education.
