Mr. OBrien, I wanted to touch base with you about Jordan Kirchhoff.

He has been working very hard on his r sound in speech since October and has met his goal for speech. This morning there were no errors in reading or conversation. He tells me that he is very comfortable now with his speech and that he has been reading Romeo and Juliet aloud in your class. I wanted to make sure we have a consensus and that you are not hearing that r error anymore either. If you agree, I will probably call his mom about dismissal from speech after I hear from you. Given the situation the family is enduring at this point, and if she agrees, I am guessing that she will want to have only a telephone meeting at this point and not come in to meet with us. Jordan does not think she will even make it to conferences this time. She is trying to work only half days right now in order to be at home with his dad. I dont know what Jordan has told you, but his dad is very sick. (I hate to bother them at all, but I dont want to keep pulling Jordan out if he doesnt need it either.) Thanks for your support for Jordan and being so awesome about sharing him during your class. Let me know your thoughts.
