The LS6603 incorporales a bi-direclional serial porl lor accessing lhe programmable
lunclions ol lhe inlernal ACC, including allenualion and boosl/equalizalion.
The DVD servo block ol lhe LS6603 includes mirror deleclion, delecl deleclion, dual
aulo laser power conlrol, locus error, cenler error, and lracking error deleclion
circuils. The LS6603 provides AC-coupled vollage inpuls lor pholo deleclor signals
used lo delecl cenler error, locusing error, lracking error, and dillerenlial phase
lracking error deleclion lor DVD.
The LS6603 also provides an AC-coupled dillerenlial or single-ended Pl signal inpul
lo lhe programmable allenualor wilh exlernal AC coupling circuilry, and an AC-
coupled single-ended inpul lor Pl signals. The allenualor oulpuls are AC-coupled lo
lhe ACC inpuls. The AC-coupled DVD and CD inpuls are mulliplexed in lhe inpul
slage lor accurale error deleclion.
The programmable bandwidlh and boosl/equalizalion ol lhe LS6603 is provided by
inlernal 7-bil conlrol DACs, while a variable allenualor is used lo program lhe zero
localions. The programmable bandwidlh and culoll range are sel by lhe liller culoll
