Adjunct Model is first used to study non native speakers in Canada. Aim:
To prepare students for mainstream classes where they will join the native speakers.
In
that method, students enrolled in regular academic course. In addition, they take a language course that is linked to the academic course. They may also feature study skill session to familiarize students with:

Parallalel to the theme-based component was an adjunct course focusing on science. This adjunct course focuses on preparing students to make the transition to learning science through english. The adjunct course focused on the following: Understanding specialized science terminologies and concepts. Report writing skills. Grammar for science. Note-taking skills.
