1 Introduction
1.1 Overview
This document contains the following information: DBS3900 typical configurations and
function modules, and physical specifications for other products.
This document is intended for personnel who have a basic knowledge of the DBS3900 and
DBS3900-related features.
1.2 Version Difference
DBS3900 V301R013 is the first DBS3900 version that matches GSM-R 5.0.

2 Application Overview
The DBS3900 adopts the remote radio frequency technology and features flexible installation,
low power consumption, easy acquisition, and small floor area.
Adopting the remote radio frequency technology, the DBS3900 forms two modules that can
be installed, expanded in capacity, and evolved independently to meet the deployment
requirements of GSM-R networks. This decreases the difficulties for telecom operators in the
following aspects: site acquisition, equipment room construction, and device transportation
and installation.
Each BBU3900 configured with the dual-density RRU (DRRU) supports a maximum of 36
TRXs.
