The God Set aka Seth

Son of Geb and Nut. Brother of Auset, Nephthys, and Ausar. The husband of Nephthys (Auset twin sister). Man with the head of an animal. Some times he takes the form of a ro odile. Seth is the !od of e"il, of drou!ht, of destru tion, thunder and storm. Seth tore himself from his mother#s womb in his hurry to be born. $"ery month Seth atta ks and de"ours the moon, the san tuary of Ausar and the !atherin! pla e of the souls of the re ently dead. %ealous of his older brother Ausar & either be ause of the birth of his sister&wife#s son, Anubis, or be ause of Ausar rulership of $!ypt && Seth made a plan to murder his hildless brother and take the throne. 'hen Auset found out about this, she went on a sear h throu!h the world to find her husband. Brin!in! him ba k, Seth happened on the offer, and tore it open and ut up his brother#s orpse, spreadin! body parts throu!h the land of $!ypt. Auset and Seth#s wife Nephthys (who had left him to (oin her sister) went on a )uest to restore Ausar. They su eeded enou!h so that Auset on ei"ed Ausar#s son and e"entually bore the hild *eru in the +elta re!ion where he !rew up. By this time *eru had rea hed manhood ... *eru thereupon did battle with Seth, the "i tory fallin! now to one, now to the other ... *eru and Seth, it is said, still do battle with one another, yet "i tory has fallen to neither.
