Brazilian Awakening - Act in support of the Brazilian protests - Melbourne

CONFIRMED - The Federation Square Management and Victoria Police confirmed and permitted our Act that will take place tomorrow at Federation Square. In order to make this go as well as possible, please read the following: We will gather at 3pm to discuss about the issues involved and to make the posters. The Act will happen from 4pm to 5pm, and it's restricted to the Fed. Square area, close to the stairs and the Information Centre. BRING: posters, flags, flowers, cameras, umbrellas/rain coats and anything you think that can inform and give your message to the rest of the world and to Brazilian activists. Important: It was accorded with the police that we won't: 1.Fix/stick any kind of poster; 2.Occupy any public space or traffic route (remembering that Fed. Square is a private area); 3.Carry any kind of drug; 4.Use any kind of music equipment; 5.Carry any kind of offensive material; 6.Damage or destroy any property. PLEASE, let's keep that in mind for our sake ;) Our aim will be reached if we can (1) attract local and global attention in a positive way. By respecting Australian citizens, greater are the chances of them to get touched by our cause. (2) show our support to Brazilian activists! #ChangeBrazil ----------This week So Paulo was a scenario of a truculent police repression. A protest of 20,000 people, completely peaceful, received tear gas and rubber bullets while people kept under the "NO VIOLENCE" shout. Now, people are claiming their rights all around Brazil and so should we. The ideia is to meet at Federation Square PEACEFULLY and without disturbing the city.
