Questionnaire Evaluation of Question 1

Are between the ages of 15-18? This question is to show the person the questionnaire are mainly focused around there age range. Gathering ideas from the youth and considering their opinions as this is to match the feel of sixth form, but to also maintain formality when considering their youth based ideas to design the leaflet. However I would have given a chance to the teachers to have an interview on what they would like the college magazine to consist of; as this would involve everyone and not just sixth formers or the soon to be sixth formers, but also the teachers as they are also part of the Plumstead manor sixth form and deserve a say. From this I would find the design and content would be to all audiences taste: students, teachers, and parents selecting a variety.

Evaluation of Question 2
How do you feel about having a magazine? This question didnt so much have a way of bringing influential ideas to the design of the magazine, but however it was able to give me an idea of people perspectives of having a sixth form magazine whether it will appeal to them. But to those who arent so keen on the idea of having one it would motivate me to designing something that would be of their interest. (The majority thought it was a good idea scoring 6/10, those that werent so bothered about it scored half the amount an only one disliked it.) As much as this is an open question I received answers which were quite vague despite the fact that it was an open question, maybe next time I would ask them on a scale of 1-10 to really pin point how they truly feel about having a sixth form magazine.

Evaluation of Question 3
Would you prefer there to be more images of the success of the school or for there to be more written content? What I was trying to get out of this question was what people prefer, some people hated the fact there would be so many words and fewer images (vice versa). This question gave them an option of choosing between the two but however not in a restricting way as a space was left below for them to either choose or propose a new idea as supposed to having tick boxes of circling things. This question would help greatly wit planning my design because its one of the most important parts of the design of the magazine knowing how to balance the amount of images and text.

Evaluate Question 4
Would you prefer the statistics of students results or would you prefer to read a motivational statement of their success? This question helped me see what people generally prefer, this is influential to the design of my magazine because this would require a medium close up picture on the student whose motivational statement as been written. Judging from this graph most people liked the idea of having a motivational statement as supposed to just having statistics.

Evaluation of Question 5
In a magazine, what colours would you think would represent our sixth form best? The reason why I asked this particular question and not just asking them to choose from a selection of colours because I wanted the colours of their choice because I was looking for colours that would represent the sixth form well. Asking the audience gave me a range of ideas of colours; some valid reasons for their selection were as others didnt, many said it should resemble the colour of the Lerner building Red, Black and White as it is the only building which actually belongs to the sixth form.

Evaluation of Question 6

Evaluate Question 7
Would you like a leaflet which is smaller is size or a magazine which is larger and contains more? The graph clearly shows that more people preferred a magazine size rather than a leaflet; this tells me that in designing the magazine the positioning, size and quality of things would need to be considered especially because it will be on a large scale, and that they like the idea of having a magazine.

Evaluation of Question 8
Would you be interested in reading the magazine, if not what will interest you? This question generally summarises whether or not people will read it if not they could suggest things that would interest them and other people in a beneficial way, this will motivate me knowing people actually read this magazine as the vast majority said yes.
