Content 40 points

Does the project/blog stay on topic (or near topic)?
Does the students presentation/blog show a clear understanding of their topic?
Does their message stay clear or nearly related to the topic?
Do the student(s) show evidence of transitioning from personal evidence into
more academic argument forms (provides evidence and research)?
Do the students answer all of the critical thinking questions?

Vocabulary 25 points

Does the student engage and properly use the content appropriate vocabulary?
Does the student show any evidence of attempting to transition from personal
preference/topics to the use of more academic and persuasive vocabulary?

Organization 20 points

Does the student(s) show evidence of attempting to organize into paragraph
structure?
Does the student(s) show evidence of attempting to interconnect the sentences
into an organized form?
Does the student(s) show evidence of organizing the presentation in a format
that easy to follow?
Is there evidence of an introduction, body, and conclusion for the project?

Syntax/Grammar 10 points

Does the group show evidence of understanding and controlling basic sentence
structure?
Is there evidence that the student is starting to transition from speaking style
sentences to more written style?
Does the student show evidence of correct usage of verb forms?
Is the writing in complete sentences (very few fragments or run-ons)?

Mechanics 5 points.

Does the student(s) show evidence of using appropriate capitalization, spelling,
punctuation, and mechanics?
