This article is confirmed, by UNCC, to have been peer-reviewed. This is a qualitative research study done to follow up on long term cancer survivors. This article asks a group of cancer survivors and their spouses about lasting life changes experienced through cancer. It tells of both negative and positive long lasting changes. This will be great for my study of after-effects of cancer. It is credible based upon the confirmation of it being peer reviewed as well as being in the well-respected journal of Psycho-Oncology.

Comment [W1]: Include either the DOI or the URL for all online articles.

This article was confirmed by UNCCs library to be peer-reviewed. Its research goes into helping patients find meaning. Its credible because of the academic journal it was published in. They acknowledge that many cancer patients end up with a lot of debt and problems physically and existentially. Its set up as an intervention, which does make it a little weaker compared to

my other articles of pure research. I still believe it will be useful in showing viewpoints of patients after illness.

Comment [W2]: Try to get the URL on the same line as the rest of the citation.

This article was published in an academic journal and confirmed by UNCC to be a peerreviewed article, which makes it credible. This article still provides insight into perspectives of people with cancer, but it will be in regard to patients perspectives towards life care and being terminally ill. It will be useful to me because it provides another source of knowledge and a different viewpoint.

This, like a couple other articles being used in my research, were published in the PsychoOncology Journal. It is also confirmed to be peer-reviewed by UNCC. Peer-reviewed, generally, makes it credible by showing its been looked over by different experts. It has also been

published in the very accomplished Psycho-Oncology journal, which is put together by doctors. This study explores a range of predictors to identify the most important psychological factors of cancer adjustment. This will help give me some background knowledge on psychological factors mid-way through attaining cancer.

This article was written by doctors and can be found in UNCCs database search, which makes it credible. The search also confirmed that it was peer-reviewed. This article is all about the psychological and physical effects that occur in the after years of cancer. This research was conducted because of the increasing amount of cancer patients living past the five year mark. This will benefit my research because Im looking into how the mind of a cancer patient is changed.

National Cancer Institute, (2012). Facing forward: Life after cancer treatment. Retrieved from website: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/coping/life-after-treatment

This is from the government agency National Cancer Institute, which makes it a reasonably credible source. It is full of information about how to move forward after cancer and things you may feel and experience. It goes on to discuss the change you may feel after going through so much and having a medical team there, then suddenly entering life back on your own. This website will really help because it includes a lot of real people putting in their opinion.

Skrutowski, B. (March 4, 2013). Interview.

I chose this interviewee to add another male as well as a different type of cancer. He, at this moment in time, is the oldest interviewee. I wanted the panel of interviewees to be as varied as possible. He has prostate cancer and has went through surgery. He is credible because he was diagnosed by a doctor.
