Customs
Today, most people from Le Bretagne wear modern Western-

style clothing. Only a small fraction of the population still wears traditional costumes on a daily basis, and most of them are older women. Traditional costumes are not only common on special occasions. These costumes usually consist of wearing tall lace headdresses, deep colored embroidered dresses with a white apron and clogs. Catholicism has been a strong regional influence since the 4th and 5th centuries, with most Bretons being from Roman Catholics. The people of Le Bretagne are different from French people who are Latin heritage, as their ancestors are Celtic.
