reenville is the home to North Greenville University. Before it was established, the land belonged to Cherokee Indians and then made into colonists settlements. The city of Greenville was established in 1786 being named after Gen. Nathanael Greene, a southern hero.

Downtown Greenville is the largest central business district in the whole state of South Carolina. Not only is it business relatable, but it is also very cultured housing the Peace Center, various museums and libraries.

The school district in Greenville is considered to be higher quality in than that of other school districts in SC. It is the largest school district in the state with 466,178 students. It consists of 96 schools and includes 30 different cities. The average household income/ year for this district is $47,867, with the average personal income/year being $13,936. J. L. Mann High School

ne of the schools in this district is J. L. Mann High School. J. L. Mann High School is a magnet school for math, science, and technology. The current enrollment is 1,704 students. It offers many sports such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, lacrosse, swimming, soccer, volleyball, track and cross country. Other than sports, they provide many extracurricular activities such as Art Club, National Honors Society, Yearbook, Student Government, etc. I was the exhibit coordinator for the Art Club. This means I was in charge of the school wide Art show that took place in the Spring through the Art Department.
