Congratulations Seniors! Our senior recognition will be held on Saturday, May 10th as an important part of our UB Saturday College. Please plan to attend with your parents or guardians so we can recognize all your hard work and accomplishments! We will also recognize our Alumni of the Year, Jennifer Kesaris. You will want to hear what she has to say about how she has made it all the way through to earning her masters degree in nursing. In addition, we will choose our t-shirt design, elect students for the statewide Student Leadership Council, have an alumni panel for students and a problem-solving exercise for parents. Last but not least we will get all the paperwork done that you need for summer. Some of our C/Ts (Counselor/Tutors for our new students) will be here to say hello and lead those of you whod like to see more of the campus on tours. See you then!!

Reminder to all students: the school year is very short vacation. If you are in jeapordy of failing a class, calculate your grades and determine what you need to successfully pass for the year. GO TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR FOR HELP!! DO NOT LET SENIORITIS SET IN, EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT A SENIOR!!! The end of the school year is too important to goof off and not keep up your grades. Everyone needs to stay focused and to do their best. No make up time after end of school year.

SENIORS.remember that colleges will

be looking at your transcripts and at your grades for the 3rd and 4th quarters. Do not jeapordize any acceptances or financial aid packages by a bad case of senioritis. ACCEPTANCE OFFERS CAN BE WITHDRAWN DUE TO BAD GRADES. Also, double check for any deadlines that colleges have. Be especially careful about a deadline if you have sent money in to a college for a deposit and have decided not to attend. You may be able to get some of your deposit back. Be sure that you apply for as many local scholarship as possible. Above all, enjoy the rest of your Senior year, have fun and STAY SAFE. (That goes for everyone!!)
