Run Choreography to Footloose at a slow tempo. Ask students to focus on clean choreo and lyrics a. Clean 3. Run Footloose with tape. 4. Give students 30 seconds to get chairs. 5. Have students read rhythmic exercise on the board. a. Go over any problem areas breaking down patterns as needed b. Use pat, clap, snap pattern to help read patterns. 6. Have students Echo Translate Compound meter patterns 7. Do a four measure rhythmic composition using the compound meter patterns already learned. Write the appropriate patterns on the board for student reference. 8. Have students trade compositions with a partner. Give them a few minutes to discuss and evaluate each others rhythms 9.
