It was not a deficiency of Love,

That caused our parting,
For I loved you more than my own life,
And you loved me beyond compare,

Sometimes, life is not what it seems,

One’s Paradise is another’s Hell,
One’s blessing is another’s curse,
My curse has been loving with a poet’s heart,

Circumstance,
Is the villain in this drama,
I; your starlight in your life’s darkness,
You; the love of my life!

Providence, assured that our paths would cross,

Cupid, shot our arrows at the wrong time,
Fate, dealt us the worst hand,
Destiny, forevermore made you my greatest love!

For this,
And much, much more,
I have no regrets,
Only the happiness that you brought into my existence!

I still feel the warmth of you hands,

Touching me,
Caressing me,
Loving me,

Haunting memories,
Invade my mind,
Whispering,
Love,
My soul in desperation,
Seeks you,
In astral flights,
In lucid dreams,

To no avail,
For I have been exiled,
From you,
Because of our forbidden amour,

Our clandestine romance,

My demands,
Upon your time,
Upon your heart,

Inadvertently,
Caused our love’s demise,
When I realized this,
It was too late,

Still,
Providence has not forgotten us,
It knows our sufferings,
Our true Love,

A Shaman told me that you are finally free,

And alone,
As I am,
But both unable to find one another,

Is this our final fortune?

Or will Fate once again,
Throw a triumphal dice,
In our paths…
