Natural Disasters in Ecuador

The natural disasters in Ecuador are very common. In the history of our
country, we can see many events what we call them like natural disasters. For
example, the German explorer Alexander von Humbolt wrote in his journal
about the earthquake in 1687. It was very dangerous, especially in Ambato,
Pelileo and Latacunga. In it died a lot of people, the German explorer thing to
die 7200 persons.
In the Twenty Century we can find other natural disasters. In 1906 a
tsunami happened in Esmeraldas. But, the Ambatos earthquake is very famous
for as. It was in 1949. It destroyed the all city and the villages. There were
6000 deads. The government told what 6000 persons lost their houses. In this
occasion, the people spirit didnt break. They fought, worked and helped them.
The flowers and fruits party is a symbol of this spirit.
The flooding more dangerous for Ecuador was in 1997 and 1998. The
Boys phenomenon was the natural disaster very chaotic. It hurt the farming
and business of the cost region. Ecuador lest much money, because the
exportations didnt thrive. The people finished without houses and without
jobs. Babahoyo, Portoviejo and Chone disappeared almost. The effects of this
disaster still feel in the population, the dengue and malaria were illness what
they increased in this event.
Actually, Ecuador has many natural disasters, but the government learns
as to prevent. There are a kind of natural disaster to help for tourist, its
volcanic eruption in Tungurahua Volcano. But the Quitos forest fires are very
dangerous for the nature. We need to reflect about role of human being in
the Earth and the universe.
