The Medical Council of India issued a public notice on April 21, 2014 announcing that the Executive Committee had decided on April 16, 2014 to return all pending applications for provisional and permanent registration of foreign medical graduates, as well as applications for provisional registration of Indian graduates, back to the applicants along with any fees paid, and advise them to apply instead to their concerned State Medical Council.

It is brought to the notice of all concerned and public at large that the matter with regard to the grant of Provisional/Permanent Registration certificate to the Indian/Foreign graduates was considered by the Executive Committee at its meeting held on 16 th April 2014 and the Executive Committee decided that all the pending applications for provisional Registration/Permanent Registration of foreign graduates and applications for provisional Registration of Indian graduates be returned to the applicants alongwith the fees paid by them forthwith, with advice to apply to the concerned State Medical Council.
