9000 Series Security Systems
9000 series systems provide the highest level of protection for sumptuous houses, banks,
government buildings, and any place where very high security is needed. These systems are
designed to be user-friendly and the modular concept of these systems provide installers with
labour-saving features that make expanding, installing and servicing these systems quick and
convenient.
Expand your system by adding zone expansion modules anywhere and in any combination on
the BUS. Modules can be connected to the BUS at the most convenient location. Once installed,
all modules can be programmed remotely via a keypad or the remote upload/download
programming software.
9000 series is designed together with advanced functions keypad. With one button pressed on

PS-LC8 Local Connector
The PS-LC8 can store up to four 9000 SERIES alarm control panel configurations
within its own non-volatile memory. These data can be read by the RPS-9 remote programming software
without a panel connected. The data can also be saved into any existing 9000 Series panels without the need
of PC. So the data stored on the PS-LC8 can be transferred to any panel of the same type or read by the
RPS-9 software for reviewing, editing and archiving purposes.

PS-EM16-192 8/16 Zone Expander Module
For PS-9192 Control Panel

The EM16-192 is a microprocessor-controlled 16-zone expander for PS-9192 control panel. Up to 23
EM16-192 expanders can be added to the control panel with a maximum zone number of 192 zones.
Each expander has a tamper switch and power isolator making it ideal for use in a remote location.

6-POSITION DIP SWITCH SETTINGS
The first thing that must be decided is the starting zone of this particular zone expander. The starting zone
must be on a boundary of 8 zones. The 16 zones for this module will move out from this starting position.

Dip switch 6 is used to disable the second block of 8 zones on this zone expander. This can be done if
only an 8 zone expander is required in a particular expander address. To disable the second group of 8 zones
on this expander, turn dip switch 6 ON. In this case, up to 23 expanders can be added to the system creating
a total of 192 zones.

PS-EM16-48 8/16 Zone Expander Module
For PS-9048 Control Panel

The EM16-48 is a microprocessor-controlled 16-zone expander for PS-9048 control panel. Up to five
EM16-48 expanders can be added to the control panel with a maximum zone number of 48 zones. Each
expander has an tamper switch and power isolator making it ideal for use in a remote location.

4-POSITION DIP SWITCH SETTINGS

PS-OM8-1 Output Expander & Printer Interface

The OM8 is an auxiliary module used to expand the capabilities of the 9000 series control panels. While each
unit has some unique features described in this section and also in the terminal descriptions, the basic
installation and programming instructions are applicable to both modules.

OM8-1 Features:

PS-483 Remote Power Supply and
Bus Extension Module

The PS-483 is a microprocessor controlled remote power supply
module for the PS-9048 / PS-9192 control panel. This power supply
module has 3 programmable outputs and one dedicated bell output. A
maximum of 8 power supply modules can be added to the control panel
for a total output count of 32, of which 24 are programmable and 8 are
dedicated bell outputs. These 24 programmable outputs can be used as
auxiliary power, smoke detector power, siren driver power, etc. Each
power supply module has a Tamper terminal that can be used to
supervise the metal enclosure. When the power supply module is
connected to the control panel, the maximum total wire run from the
panel to all devices, including the PS-483, is 750m. Additionally, the
maximum total wire run from the power supply module to all outgoing
devices is 750m.

Terminal Description
DATA
Connect to the DATA terminal of PS-9048 or PS-9192 panel. This terminal is the incoming
data-signaling terminal to PS-483. The maximum cable run from panel to all devices including
PS-483 is 750 meters.
COM
Connect to the COM terminal of PS-9048 or PS-9192 panel. This is the common point.
POS
Connect to AUX+ of PS-9048 or PS-9192 panel. This supply power to PS-483.
DATA
This terminal is the outgoing data-signaling terminal for bus extension. The maximum cable run for
PS-483 to all devices is 750 meters.
COM Common terminal for all devices powered by PS-483.

PS-PP8 Multi-points Bus Module

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The PS-PP8 is a microprocessor-controlled multi points bus interface
module for the PS-9048 and PS-9192 control panel. The Multi-points
System provides two-wire bidirectional communications with up to 255
individually addressed devices. The total number of devices in a system is
limited by the I/O capability of the panel. For example, the PS-9192 can
support a maximum of 192 zones mapped to 192 input device addresses
and an additional 48 addresses for output devices.

FEATURE
Three loop outputs are provided for interface with the point ID devices. A single loop output can support the full
255 point ID devices as long as the wire run limits are not exceeded. The total number of devices can be
distributed across the three loop outputs to meet wire run limit requirements.

PS-EM1 Sing Zone Expansion Module
PS-EM1 is a microprocessor controlled single zone input module for PS-9048 and PS-9192 panel. By
using PS-PP8 multi-points bus module, maximum 192 piece of PS-EM1 can be connected on the bus
and expands to 192 zones input with address. Power isolation is provided so that it is installed far away
from the main panel.

INTRODUCTION
The PS-VM2 voice module is an advanced electronic
record/playback module for short voice messages, up to 20
seconds long. It can change a digital dialer into a voice dialer.
It is designed for manual recording and electronically
triggered playback. When the PS-VM2 is used in conjunction
with alarm control panels with digital communicators, calls for
help due to fire or burglary may be prerecorded, for
automatic transmission by telephone. A miniature
microphone and an easily accessible RECORD pushbutton
are included in the PS-VM2. When the digital dialer is
answered, the PS-VM2 will play the recorded message and repeat over and over again until the dialer
stop the line.

Introduction: The PS-3308 digital motion detector combines a patent-pending circuit design, dual-optic sensor
design, an interlaced pet-friendly lens pattern and advanced digital processing technologies to

The lens and sensors ensure that pets do not generate the signals required for an alarm

PS-3363 Directional Digital Motion Detector

In the past when using curtain detectors, occupants have to lose freedom of
movement within the premises, because they have to avoid triggering an alarm when entering the
protected area. POSONIC PS-3363 directional motion detector provides an innovative solution to this
problem. This technology utilizes a sophisticated signal processing algorithm to recognize the direction
from which the protected area had been entered. If an intruder
breaks into the perimeter from outside, an alarm will be generated
immediately. However, if the occupants wander into the detectors
coverage area occasionally, a delay timer will be initiated during
which an alarm will not occur. As a result, 3363 can distinguish
between an occupant and an intruder. This capability is ideal for
perimeter protection while people are active within the house. The
delay timer can be adjusted from 5 seconds to 15 minutes by 4
setting levels for different protection level and permitting occupants
who go out to return inside within a predetermined time period
without triggering an alarm. If the occupants go out, re-enter and
immediately re-exit, the return timer is reset and will start a new
countdown again. PS-3363 is suitable for ceiling and wall
mounted according to site condition and can be matched with all
decoration.

The 5509 digital motion detector combines a patent-pending circuit design,
dual-optic sensor design, an interlaced pet-friendly lens pattern and advanced
digital processing technologies to differentiate between
people and pets while maintaining superior coverage.
The lens and sensors ensure that pets do not generate the
signals required for an alarm situation. Since the signal is
converted, amplified and processed in the digital domain
without any analog circuitry, the parameters of the complete
signal are analyzed by sophisticated software algorithms and
compared to a bank of movement signals. This allows the
motion detector to precisely identify an alarm situation and
prevent false alarms.
An object must simultaneously cross the beams of both the
upper and lower sensors before a signal is determined to be a
potential alarm situation. Since pets do not have the height or
mass to cross the beams at the same time and generate the

The PS-372 is an electronic device using advanced digital technology. It employs an 8 bit
microprocessor to perform constant analysis of the glass environment it is protecting. The
PS-372 hears the unique multi frequency acoustic shock wave of glass-breaking; then it
analyses the signal digitally by a microprocessor and decides whether it is the sounds of an
actual glass break event or not. The micro algorithm identifies multiple variations of the
glass break signal data in both unique time and frequency domains. In short; it compares the
sound it hears with the wave shape of actual breaking glass in the memory database and
ignores extraneous noises. Since the detector analyses wave shape but not amplitude, it will
detect through curtains, drapes, blinds and sun tinting applications. Thus PS-372 is not

When the control panel of a user system detects an alarm signal, it dials and transmits data automatically through
telephone network to the digital receiver located in the Alarm Monitoring Centre. The user information will be
displayed on the PC by using special management software in order to increase efficiency. The fast time to
receive a call is about 3 seconds. The digital receiver works independently from the PC. It can receive, display
and save alarm events normally even if the PC is out of order. This will ensure the Alarm Monitoring Centre
works continuously. This system can prevent from any fault due to personnel problem.

The POSONIC RECEIVER is a multi-format digital receiver for commercial fire and burglary monitoring. The
standard unit consists of a CPM Central Processing Module, a DLCM Single Line Card Module and a PWR Power
Module. With additional Line Card Modules the receiver can be enabled to monitor up to 16 telephone lines. The
POSONIC RECEIVER can receive and decode most of the popular and commonly used communication formats.

The POSONIC RECEIVER stores all events with time and date stamped. All information is displayed on the large
LCD screen, and the events may be printed and/or forwarded to a computer. To ensure security, all programming
