Purpose : Meet and Greet with NYS Pipe Trades Executive Board - Business Managers
Thursday. November 29 , 2007 11:45 A.M . -12 :15 P.M.

Location: 74 State Street, Albany

Background:

Larry Bulman ; Secretary Treasurer NYS Pipe Trades, and Chair of Saratoga County Democratic
Party is havinq their fall meeting with their Executive board and business managers from around the
State in Albany.

The Pipe Trades are supportive of the agreed upon "Wicks" proposal.

The Pipe Trades are appreciative of the Senate's support of their "sprinkler bill" which was vetoed by
the Governor. The Senate Majority is looking to be helpful with this legislation.

The Pipe Trades supported the Senate's position - (Flanagan Bill) on increasing sanctions and
penalties on prevailing wage. The Senate adopted chapter - The Assembly did not do a chapter
when they returned this fall.

The Senate Majority is pleased to report adoption of a ten hour OSHA training safety requirement for
certain public works projects. This proposal has been pursued by the Senate Majority for a number
of years. This measure will hopefully ensure greater safety for the workers.

Recommendation :

The Senate Majority has enjoyed working with your international President Jim Cahill, out going
President Dave Decare, Larry Bulman. We look forward to working with your incoming President
Tony Ucci.

The Senate Majority is pleased to provide training monies for your apprenticeship programs for Local
773 which encompasses my district and Senator Little's. Additionally, Senator Libous provided
apprenticeship funds for local 112.

The Senate Majority wants to be helpful and supporuve of pipe trades legislalive initiatives.

We will Looking for this group to assist in certain key races in 2008 (Senator DeFrancico in Syracuse,
Senator Leibell in Putnam Westchester, Senator Hannon and Senator Marcellino on Long Island).
