meet at Auckland airport ready for their long ight to

Denver late on the 4th of January 2010. After working their

luggage onto the check in carousel and saying bye to all the
parents they were off. Rhys, Deanna, their toddler Lexa and
6 teenagers boarded the plane ready for a great ski
adventure. Arriving in LA with a mad dash to their
connecting ight they made it landing in Denver and being
warmly greeted with their 12 passenger van for the month.
Seeing the night lights of Denver they drove on the wrong
side of the road to their accommodation in Keystone. Settling
in for the night they arose in the morning to check out
Keystone and get their ski passes. What an amazing day and
start to the trip. Now time for the skiing!

ICE SKATING AT KEYSTONE: Testing
their skills; happy to say that they all
did really well even with a few
topples as is to be expected.
STATUES EVERYWHERE: Even while
skiing, it is great to stop and take in
the scenery especially when it
involves beavers!
BEAVER CREEK: Looking down at

Training at Woodward at Copper Mt
was a highlight for all. It allowed
everyone to practice their tricks in a
safe environment using the foam pits
and trampolines.
Off mountain activities included
shopping (yes even for the boys), day
trips to Denver, ice-skating, and a
day trip to Aspen to see all the pros
compete at the X-Games!
Everyone was very helpful around
the house and we really enjoyed
having them around. Lexa kept
asking for the boys and Rose when
she got home. Life was a bit lonely.
We are so excited to be able to offer
this opportunity to motivated teens
again for 2011. Planing is already
taking place and if you are

Having a great time exploring the 5 mountains and what
they had to offer, the group really developed their skills
and condence by the end of the month. Skills in the
terrain parks on jumps and rails saw tricks like 540s,
front, back and sideways ips, corked 720s, 270 on and
offs and all-round sickness being thrown down daily.
They even got to ski along side some of the pros like
Jossi Wells, Simon Dumont, Colby West
