Literacy: This week was another review week in which children practiced the first 100 high frequency Fry
words. These words are some of the most commonly used words children use in their reading and writing.
Math and Science: This week children focused on doubles and neighbors fact fluency. These fast facts
will help children be able to solve addition and subtraction problems quickly and efficiently.
In science, children worked collaboratively to complete the marshmallow challenge!. In short, children were
given "0 pieces of uncooked spaghetti, # feet of string, # feet of masking tape, and a marshmallow. The
ob$ective was to build the tallest structure, using only the materials provided, to support the marshmallow. It
was great to see children working together towards a common goal. Find out more about the marshmallow
