Biomes
In class we wrote stories about each biome like a grassland or taiga or tropical rainforest or deserts we
each had to pick a type of those biomes like it could be Atlantic Ocean or Sahara desert it could be
anything. Then we made a picture book about them and we also read it to the class on Sr.Noors throne
thats what we call Sr. Noors chair. These are some pictures of biomes.

Time Capsules
The 5
th
grade students were assigned explorers of the past, we had to make a time capsule and an
essay about these explorers- some of the explorers were Ferdinand Magellan, Leif Erickson ,Marco
Polo, Ibn Buttuta ,Francisco Pissarro, Francisco Coronado

Math Million Dollars
In math class Sr. Kristine set up an everyday calendar where we spend as much money as the date times
one thousand and many other activities. Recently we have spent the million dollars we had in the
beginning. We had a hors oeuvre party to celebrate the spending of the million dollars.

Columbus Letters
In class we have written letters to Christopher Columbus. We wrote the letter as if we were applying for
a job on his ships. We each applied for a job we would like to have. But unfortunately we couldnt mail
them.

Synonym and Antonym Game
In class Sr. Noor handed out boards with antonyms or synonyms on them. We were going to play a
game! We had a shoe lace and connected the synonyms or the antonyms. After that Sr.Noor handed
out four cards to each person. Somebody would start this game by calling out what was on their card.
On each card was an answer and a clue. The person with the answer to the clue would call out what was
on their card and the game would keep going like that.We played the game three times until we
stopped.

Bake sale
During this month we had two bake sales to help make health care packages for children in the UMass
memorial childrens branch. Alhamdulillah, the bake sale was a huge success, and we were able to
supply packages for 40 children.
