PAST SIMPLE

Study this example:

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian musician and composer. He
lived from 17! to 17"1. He started composing at the age of fi#e and

Lived/started/wrote/was/died are all past simple.
&ery often the past simple ends in -ed 'regular #er(s):

* She passed her examination (ecause she studied #ery hard.
-ut many #er(s are irregular. .he past simple does not end in -ed.
