PERSONAL INJURY

Parents and caregivers need to
be aware that the Woodside
Warriors SC does not insure
players against personal injury
during matches or other
events. We advise parents and
caregivers to arrange adequate
medical and ambulance cover
for their children.

CANTEEN HELPERS

We would still love to see more
parents helping out in the
canteen particularly on
training nights. Come on in,
dont be shy. Having a dry run
will make it far less stressful for
when you are rostered on
during your home games.

CLUB ROOM TABLES

Please remember that if you
want to sit and relax while
having your post training snag,
the club rooms are open until
6pm

The wet weather is here and to
prevent accidents players are
being asked to remove their
boots just inside the main door.
Thank you for your co-
operation.

We would love to hear from
other club members and their
families, so if you have any
soccer stories and/or photos to
share please email them to

Seniors Update
2014 has seen further expansion within our club with the formation of a Seniors
side, which competes in the Collegiate League on a Saturday afternoon.

There are currently 19 players in the team
consisting of past players, current coaches
and a few new club members. They range in
age from 16 to 46, which means they are
able to bring youth, experience and skill to
their games.

Coached by Andy Thorpe, the team has a leadership group including Lee Maker
(Captain), Matt Thoday (Vice Captain) and Steve Knipe (Deputy Vice Captain)

At the start of the season, the team were
placed in division 5. Following a shaky start
the team has gone on to produce three
wins, one draw and two losses, which
currently places them equal third in the
league. As the majority of players had
never played together before, this has been
a great result.

Due to the large number of players and given it is the first year for the team, a
playing schedule has been developed to ensure all players get as close as
possible to even playing time throughout the season.

There is a high expectation that the
Woodside Warriors can build on the current
squad for next year, which means the club
will have a first and a reserve team allowing
healthy competition for places on each team
in the future.

The club would like to thank Airport Electrical for sponsoring the seniors team
and enabling them to purchase the Woodside Warriors team strip.

You can find the fixtures as well as the ladder and team information on the
website www.collegiatesoccerleague.com.au, under the division five sections,
game results are also listed in the Sunday Mail each week in the sports section.

All home games are played at 1.00pm so why not come down and give your
support, the team would appreciate it.

Lee Maker (Captain)

Working Bee
Many thank to those of you who gave up your Sunday to help with the working
bee. And especially to those non club members who let us use their equipment
and gave up their free time to help make our club a better place. Thank you
