20 (Lead-in/Review)
1. Ss watch excerpt from NK song (Youtube video) (first 30 sec) and guess at its meaning in pairs. Then, ask Ss to describe photos of Korean families. Ss are asked to imagine which persons in the photos are mother, grandfather, etc.
Presentation
1. Introduce todays vocab using textbook passage. Ss describe each family member presented in the passage to a partner. 2. T briefly explains cultural notes in English to class.
Practice
1. Ss complete listening exercise in textbook, check as pairs.
Production
Ss pretend they work for a (matchmaking company). Given a profile of a man looking for a wife, S groups pick a good match from a set of women. S groups present their choice and their justification to the class.
