Purpose:
• To introduce the letters K, k, L, l, M, m, N, n, O, o to the students.
• To help students learn the words associated with these letters.
• To help students develop their writing skills by tracing and writing these words.

Materials
• Textbook
• Blackboard and chalk
• Pictures related to the words kite, lion, mango, net, orange
Introduction (07 minutes)

1. Greet the students and introduce the topic of the lesson, which is the alphabet.
2. Write the letters K, k, L, l, M, m, N, n, O, o on the blackboard and ask the students to repeat after
you.
3. Show the pictures related to the words kite, lion, mango, net, orange and ask the students to
identify the first letter of each word.

Instruction (13 minutes)

1. Introduce the words associated with each letter and write them on the blackboard.
2. Read out the words and ask the students to repeat after you.
3. Demonstrate how to trace and write the words by rotating their hands on the book.
4. Ask the students to practice tracing and writing the words in their notebooks while I will supervise
and provide guidance.

Practice (10 minutes)

1. Use pictures of objects starting with these letters to play a game of “guess the letter”.
2. Ask the students to stand up and call out the letter that the object in the picture starts with.
3. As a group, play a game of “Name that Word” where I will call out a letter and the students have to
name a word that starts with that letter.
Assessment (10 minutes)
1. Conduct a quick quiz to assess the students' understanding of the letters and words covered in the
lesson.
2. Ask the students to identify the letter and word that you point out from the blackboard and
pictures.
3. Give praise to the students who do well and provide guidance to those who struggle.

Closure (5 minutes)
1. Summarize the lesson by repeating the letters and words introduced in the class.
2. Congratulate the students on their progress and encourage them to keep practicing their writing
skills.
3. End the class with a fun activity.
