I live in Tacna, Peru, which is known as the most patriotic city in Peru. Tacna has a population of around 280,000 people and is located 52 kilometers from the Chilean border. Tacna preserves much of its colonial architecture, including churches, mansions and other historic buildings, and has many monuments honoring heroes from Peru's wars of independence and the War of the Pacific. Tacna has a tropical climate with hot summers and cold winters. Nearby attractions include the Monument to the Alto de la Alianza and the Miculla Petroglyphs.
