Due to continuing negligence of CMT staff by Railway Board and recognized trade unions, CMT staff is
in state of tremendous frustration. The situation has been aggravated after implementation of SCPC:-
This is to inform you all, that a suit in regard to first point above, has been filed on 30/09/09 at Kolkata
bench of Central Administrative tribunal (CAT).
There is an urgent financial requirement to pursue the case forcefully and timely. For this we have
formed a committee at zonal level in Indian railways (Copy enclosed). All CMT staff are requested to
contribute Rs.2000/- for further proceedings of court case to their zonal treasurer.
The aim of this newly formed association will be to seek justice through judiciary for our prevailing
injustices in our CMT Cadre. Our future proposed suits (court cases) are for PCO/incentive allowances
and LDCE for CMT staff once the sufficient finance is available to us.
We also request all members of CMT staff to contribute monthly Rs.20/- for future funds and pursuance
of our court cases to zonal treasurer.
We have formed community in ORKUT by name ‘Railway Association of CMT Engineers’ (RACE). All
members especially who are internet users are requested to join this community as soon as possible. The
community will be updated regularly for recent developments. Any members may also post suggestions
related to cadre in this community. Members may also exchange various technicalities and information
involved in our day to day working. This will allow us to work efficiently for Indian Railways.
