CREATING A SIMPLE ANIMATION (BANNER) USING


ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS3

INTRODUCTION :

To create animation, you will need to have at least Photoshop CS3 Extended software

STEP 1 (OPEN A NEW FILE):

Go to File > New. Create a new file.

Adjust the size according for wanted size or standard size for banner. The standard
size for banner is 900 (width) x 200 (height) in pixels.

STEP 2 (CREATE BACKGROUND):

Insert the background image and rename Layer as background

STEP 3 (INSERT PRODUCT IMAGE):

Insert product image and create layer each image.

STEP 4 (OPEN THE ANIMATION WINDOW):

From the Window menu, choose Animation. When the Animation window opens, it
should look like the photo below. If it doesnt, that means it opened in the Timeline
view.

STEP 4 (CHANGE TO FRAME ANIMATION):

Click on the "Flyout" menu in the upper right hand corner of the Animation window
and select Convert to Frame Animation.

Create frames for each individual layer. Click the "Flyout" menu on the Animation
window and choose Make Frames From Layers.

Note: All layers dont have to be selected. To select a few layers, use the copy layer
button at the bottom right of the animation palette to add layers.

STEP 5 (SAVE YOUR GIF):

From the File menu, choose "Save for Web and Devices" and choose GIF from the
drop-down menu.
