Lake Michigan Twilight Cruise Company announces addition of new vessels CHICAGO The Lake Michigan Twilight Cruise Company announced the production of two new ships they will be adding to the fleet the week of May 12. These new diesel powered catamarans are being built at Beth-O-Blarney Iron Works in Doublemill, Scotland. Both ships are being constructed in sections that will be transported to Gary, Indiana for the final assembly. The new ships, the Morning Star and the Comet, have a capacity of 185 passengers plus a crew of five workers. We are thrilled to reveal the production of our new ships. They will be a great addition to our company as we plan on increasing convenience by running cruises more often that allow a larger number of passengers, said John Smith, CEO of The Lake Michigan Twilight Cruise Company. Last year the company was very successful with a record total of 45,000 passengers carried by the two original ships. The company plans to double passenger count with the addition of the new dinner cruisers. Established in 1973, The Twilight Cruise Company hopes to continue its success with the big investments being made.
