Sub: Report on the HAAS CNC machine

Dear Sir,
On 7
th
of this month, myself Mr Sohail Kazi and another teaching staff Mr. Zahir Khateeb has
visited a manufacturing unit in Ghatkoper, where the same machine was installed and was used for
manufacturing purpose. We saw the actual working of the machine and observed that the machine
is best suited to work on heavy load as the company was already working on it continuously 16 hrs.
The performance of the machine was upto the mark even after 3 years of the purchase. We even
asked the other labours personally about the machine, the breakdown and the maintenance and got
a positive feedback.
There is a display panel on the machine which takes care of all the programming part.
Programming can be done on computers too and can be fed into the machine with the help of USB
drive. The removes the requirement of a computer in CNC Lab.
All the care has been taken in machine regarding the safety point of view. Even the
lubrication, the cleaning and operating of the machine is very much user friendly. The automatic
tool changer of the machine works perfectly fine and clean. The accuracy of the job can be
expected. We can perform a MS cutting job very smoothly on the same machine. The machine has a
very positive feedback from all the buyers.
The machine can be considered for the students point of view because of its heavy work
load carrying capacity and latest advanced working environment.
