Project Details
 Problem Facing
 During my Internship, I faced problem regarding this
workshop that it is not a very big company and not well known
even outside Jaipur.
 They do not use any 3D modification software or any
modification work in the car.
 I was not allowed to take any cars for the test drive before or
after the service of car.
 I was also not allowed to do any work outside the workshop.
 During Pandemic Lockdown in 2021, Government allowed to
open the workshop but for limited time period. So, I didn’t
have so much time for work.
9
METHODOLOGY
 The vehicle inventory is done in triplicates-a white copy which is the
customer’s copy; a blue copy which is kept at the administrative
office, and a pink copy which is kept at the garage shop for future
reference.
 To execute a vehicle inventory, the first thing to be done is to fill in
the date and time of the vehicle’s arrival. This is followed by details
of the vehicle such as the manufacturer, the vehicle model, , the
engine type.
 If any car taking longer time to be repaired so we advised customer
estimated time and date for the delivery of car.
10
METHODOLOGY
 Accidental Cars and engine seizure cars are kept in waiting
area where all these cars are parked per day after working in
them.
 When repairing is done, customer received calls from
workshop about cost and time of delivery.

11
PROGRESS
 It is best for every class earning people. Today it become very
necessary part of life to maintain our cars and bikes with
proper time interval for best performance.
 Some measures are required to be taken for good performance:
• Avoid harsh driving and maintain speed according to speed
limit and also for good performance of car.
• Periodic Servicing must be done on time and change every
filters before damage and change all type of oils in certain
interval of time.
• Always check breaks, nuts ,Tyre pressure on daily basis.

12
Achievements
 My Achievements during internship is
• how to handle customers and listen customer problems.
• how to behave with customers.
• To calling vendors and suppliers for Automobile parts and Oils
for workshop.
• To collect feedback form from customers.
• how to handle too many customers at a time with pressure of
work and complete a task before its estimated date and time of
delivery.

13
Improvements
 The improvements should be in the Area of workspace of
workshop that it should have more area and hybrid machines
for more quality of work.
 As number of cars increasing rapidly but due to limited
Workshop, sometime workload is too high so customer have to
wait for their turn.
 Number of Staff should be increased.
 They should have more number of hydraulic jack for working.

14
Internship Experience
 Learnings
• I have gained basic knowledge about repairing of cars that how
they take steps to repair cars.
• Today cars having latest technologies and automotive designs
provides knowledge of latest features.
• I gained experience about the initial working condition of cars
and what should be the first aid to the problems in car.
• Servicing and repairing of cars needs special skills with
perfection in it.
• I have seen many types of cars, its quality and performance as
well.

15
Difficulties/Challenges
 During my internship period, I did not allowed to enter in
paint shop.
 I was eager to help mechanic but, several times I was
unable to identify automobile-parts but I manage to
identify perfect part with its part number and company
name.
 I was not allowed to drive car after repaired and customer
satisfaction is all above, so I didn’t do anything to cars
without permission.
 As it is not a paid internship so, I have to provide funds
for travelling and refreshment from my own.

16
Conclusions
Though the industrial training lasted just for some months, I
learned quite a lot. I had the privilege to participate as an
assistant in a sizeable number of repairs and services. The
automotive maintenance industry is a rapidly evolving
industry with a lot of potential, that are way beyond the
reach of the typical roadside mechanics. This poses a threat
to the survival of the local mechanic but also opens up a new
world of opportunities should he be willing to try them out.
