System Requirements

System Requirements
Pentium III or higher or other compatible machines is recommended.
RAM of at least 128 MB or higher is recommended.
Windows 2000 / XP.

Installation of Software

1. Before you plug in the Simflash Express into your PC you must first
install the software.

2. Select Install for SIM Editor from the main menu on the supplied disk.

3. Select your language.

If you have selected English click Yes to continue

5. Follow the remaining installation process, once completed you will be
asked to insert the device (SIM Flash Express), once inserted you can
now run the SIM Card Editor software from your desktop/start menu.

Using the software

If the security on you SIM card (Pin number) is active you will be presented
with the below screen, carefully enter your pin number and click OK. If your
security is turned off then your SIM card contacts will automatically upload to
the PC.

Tools/Icons

Copy to SIMThis icon will copy data selected (ticked )from PC
list to SIM card . This can also be done via the >>key. Please note that
you first need to select a catalogue to save to, eg Crystal or
Unclassified. Your default catalogue name will be you PCs ID , you can
modify the catalogue name via highligthing it and clicking F2. You can
also create more catalogs via the main menu: file/new catalog


Copy to PC: This icon will copy data selected from SIM card to
PC. This can also be done via the <<key

Saves entries/records on PC for each Catalogue eg. Crystal

Edit Toolbar


Copy: Copy the selected items.
Paste: Paste the items in clipboard.
Cut: Cut the selected items.
Delete: Delete the selected items.
Add Add data from PC or SIM




RefreshRefreshs SIM card data.
Items

Phone numbersDisplays the phone numbers that are stored in both PC
and SIM card.
MessagesDisplays SMS messages which are stored in both PC and SIM
card.
Others

Backup@onceAutomatically backs up phone book and SMS messages
that are stored in PC.
QuitCloses SIM editor.

Main Menu / other features

File
Open PC fileOpen the data file from PC.
Save PC fileSave the data file from PC.
Save asGives you the option to rename the default file.
Write SIM cardWrites/updates the data that is displayed in SIM
card area into a real SIM card.
New catalogCreates a new catalog in the PC for different SIM
cards/phone numbers.
ExportExports phone numbers or messages into a .CSV file.
ImportImports import phone numbers or messages from a .CSV
file.

View
FontSets fonts on main screen.

SIM card
Enable PIN authentication (this will alter the actual sim card).
Disable PIN authentication (this will alter the actual sim card).
Modify PIN (this will alter the actual sim card).
Reload data from SIM card.
Backup SIM data, one touch back up of all SIM card data.

Uninstall


If you want to remove SIM Editor, you could use the following two methods to
uninstall.

Method1: Uninstaller
While installing this program, it automatically creates a program directory
of SIM Editor in the Start menu/All Programs. Click the Uninstall to remove.

Method 2: Add or Remove Programs
Open the Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs and then click
Change/Remove button once the program SIM Editor is selected.
