Some new and exciting things going on in our store right now:
On June 27
th
we had our associate appreciation day! It was a very successful time with a BBQ, music and
dancing. All of you seemed to have a great time!

As some of you may know we have a store softball team, the season is in full swing! Our team name is
Bernies Bombers and our record currently is 2-2. Off to a slow start but we can only improve!
Recently our Produce manager John Lobb broke a sales record during our Fourth of July weekend!
Congratulations to John and the produce team!
Our Veterans campaign is in full swing at the registers and Chester is in first place! To date we have
raised $17,500! Linda, our Customer Service manager, has done a great job leading the charge and
creating fun events! Thank you for all of your support during the campaign!
Some of you may be asking, What are these AEM meetings everyone is going to? AEM means
associate engagement measurement. Every year we have an associate survey and these AEM meetings are
to go over our survey from last year and to talk about changes in the store to make this upcoming survey
better than ever. I am trying to get to each and every associate before the survey comes around this
September. Please, bring all of your comments, concerns and questions when you are scheduled for your
meeting. I look forward to hearing all of them.
