Franks May Message

Sales
Where did the month go??? The month of May has had a positive sales
trend consistently. We may not have broken any records, but weve cycled
out of the 2014 openings of our two competitors Walmart and Whole Foods
and are going in the right direction!

Events
Led by Jim Esposito, Team Scrunchy represented ShopRite proudly at the
Relay for Life Event in South River on May 16th. It was a group effort to get
everything done and Id like to thank Maryrose Agel, Glenn Gonzales, Steve
Harris, Deb Hornchak, Tracy Roszkowski, Amber Russomano, Deb Sporer and
AJ Tresorio for all their hard work. Great job, everyone!

A very special thank you to Samantha Domke, Glenn Gonzales, Josh

Seidenari and William Roark, who volunteered to represent Spotswood
ShopRite at the annual Memorial Day Parade! A good time was had by all
and our customers love to see us out there supporting the community!

Do you want to become a part of the Spotswood ShopRite Activity Team?

Were looking to create and develop a team of associates willing to
volunteer their time to participate in the many community activities we
support. Youll have the opportunity to interact with our customers on a

different level and spend some time outside of the building! May through
October is our busiest season your support would be greatly appreciated!
Lastly, weve now entered into our annual Veterans Campaign! From now
through August 15th, we will be collecting funds and having various activities
to meet the Store 106 goal of raising $15,000 as our contribution! Help us
by participating when you can!!!

AEM/CEM
The AEM review meetings are ongoing. So far, weve discussed results with
several departments (dont panic or feel neglected we will get through the
entire store) and have received some very positive feedback. Some actions
taken as a result of these meetings have been: (1) Installation of product
scanner in Produce Department; (2) scheduling of Basic CGO training class
in June for 2nd shift associates to improve responses to product inquiries; (3)
Communication book at Customer Service Desk to increase awareness and
efficiency regarding of store conditions.
These meetings are beneficial to associates and customers alike -- be
prepared when your time comes to make an impact!

Recognition
Our Cinco de Mayo Associate Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 2 nd was a
great success! We had food all day long and gave away some great prizes!

The next one will be held August or September please give any theme
ideas or food suggestions Pam & Brian. As always, your input is greatly
appreciated!
Were waiting on the date, but the next Milestone Anniversary Lunch will be
held sometime in June for those associates who have celebrated 5, 10 or 15

years of service with ShopRite between March and June. Invitations will go
