1. Adult

•Look like a large peace of ginger.
• 20~75×8~20 mm, the largest trematode
• The Ventral sucker is 4 times larger than the oral
sucker.

• Water contamination with feces
• Snails and plants existence in water
• The plants used as fertilizer for raising pigs
• The habits of ingestion of raw plant or
drinking unboiled water
Treatment and prevention

• Treat the patients: Praziquantel


• Not eat raw hydrophytes without
washing
• Not drink unboiled water
• Not use raw water plants as fertilizer of
pigs
