1. The control unit reads and interrupts a programs instructions, which are
converted into electrical signals that activate other components of the
computer.
2. The arithmetic unit (also known as a logic unit) takes care of arithmetic
and logic operations. For example, the arithmetic unit deals with adding
and subtracting.
