2. Class Expectations
Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner conducive to a
positive learning environment.

3. Grading
Grading will be weighted as follows:
45%: Daily grades include but are not limited to homework, daily
assignments.
50%Tests grades include but are not limited to unit tests and major projects.
5%:Participation grade is imperative to an actively engaged student (see next
point)
All Daily and Test grades will be graded in percent- total points possible 100.:

4. Participation Grade
-10 points will be available to you each time you attend class.
- Absences will be exempt from the points.
-Deductions from the 10 will be reflected in the following ways:
-Tardy-5 (In seat WHEN bell rings)
-Lack of materials (book, notebook, paper, writing utensil, other
announced by the teacher)-5
-Disruptions-5-9
-Sleeping-5-9(if you feel ill, I will be glad to write a pass to the nurse)
-Sent to office for a negative behavior problem-10


5. Late Work/Make-up Work
See policy in handbook.

6. - Supplies Required for This Course:
Notebook- sturdy pocket folder
Paper- no spiral edges accepted on assignments, please!
Pen/pencil
Red pen for grading/corrections (please, no red in on assignments)
Highlighter
Correction fluid/tape for ink mistakes
Colored pencils

7. Test/Quiz Make-up Policy
Make-up for any missed test or quiz is before or after school or during
advisory. Students need to make arrangements with Mrs. Baylous Make-
ups must be made up within a week after the test is given.

8. Year-end Award Criteria
Each student earning a quarter grade of A (95% or higher) for the first three
quarters will be automatically given recognition in the annual Awards Program
at the end of the year.

9. If you are absent- come in as quickly as possible and pick up work in the
absent folder by my desk. Please, pick up ONLY papers that have your
name on them. If you are absent due to a school activity- FFA, sports game,
field trip, etc., it is YOUR responsibility to hand work in BEFORE YOU
LEAVE (see handbook for more information on this policy).

10. Academic Integrity
Default: ALL work is to be completed individually unless expressly stated by the
instructor. Working together does not mean copying from each other and
writing down answers others have prepared. You should have your own
individually prepared answers. Help a friend/classmate by showing them where
to find the information, not answers to your assignments. Refer to handbook for
specific information regarding academic integrity.
